Every inclusive education teacher training programme will develop slightly differently because each context has different starting points, different opportunities and challenges, and different stakeholders with different skills and capacities.

In this section we will summarise the main steps taken in Zambia from the start of the pilot phase. This will pull together a lot of the information you have gathered throughout the tour.

You will be invited to reflect on the relevance of each step in your context and how you might make each step happen.

Step 1: Find partners; build relationships

Step 2: Choose pilot schools

Step 3: Select Principal Trainers

Step 4: The training process

Step 5: Develop School Inclusion Teams

Step 6: Work with pre-service

Step 7: Expand in-service training
