Key principles

The training-of-trainers (ToT) workshops for Principal Trainers are guided by 2 important principles:

The medium is the message
Trainers must use inclusive training methods if they are to successfully train others how to teach inclusively. During the ToT workshops, Principal Trainers practise facilitating learner-centred activities, instead of passively watching the ‘expert’ facilitating everything.

Our practice improves when we experiment
Each workshop prepares the Principal Trainers to carry out action research activities that help them experiment with and reflect on new training ideas.
